back in 2000. Philadelphia Magazine voted Sonny’s
cheese steak ‘Best in Philly’ the very next
year. But then the building started crumbling and they
had to close. It broke my heart. Luckily, the champ has
returned just up the block with a bigger and better space.
Yay.” |

I just love – the cool red and black storefront,
the friendly service, the location (on Market Street in
Old City), and
of course those meaty steaks just dripping with authentic
